Is my data private?
OCR runs on your device. Documents leave your phone only when you use an AI feature or turn on Cloud Backup. See the Privacy Policy.
Why do AI features need a subscription?
Summaries, extraction, and Q&A use a paid AI service to process your document text. Scanning and OCR work on the free tier.
How accurate is the AI?
AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Always verify important details against the original document. It is not legal, financial, or medical advice.
Do you support iPad?
Version 1 is iPhone-only. iPad support is on the roadmap.
03Manage your subscription
Subscriptions are billed through Apple. To view, change, or cancel: open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Scanary AI, or open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. See Terms for details.
04Export or delete your data
In the app: Settings → Export All Text to export, or Settings → Delete All Data to remove local and cloud copies. To delete your account entirely, email us.
